Believe it or not we are gearing up for the holiday season here at The Body Sculpting Center! Just like working out at the gym, your body needs time to adjust to a new diet and exercise regime. The same is true for your skin! Here is a simple prep for the next few months to get your skin holiday party ready!
September: Peels & Microdermabrasion
When staring a new skincare routine you are now delivering prescription strength products to your skin at a cellular level. It takes an average of 6-8 weeks for you to begin to see the fruit of your efforts. We can speed up the process by exfoliating the top layers of skin. We can physically exfoliate the top layers of skin with microdermabrasion or we can chemically exfoliate the layers of the skin with a customized chemical peel to speed up the rate of exfoliation.
October: Microneedling
Once we have gotten our glow back with the exfoliation, its time to dig a little deeper and start working on those fine lines with microneedling. As you age, the collagen production begins to slow down, causing skin to lose its elasticity and wrinkles and sagging start to appear. Microneedling causes a controlled injury to the skin (at various depths) to stimulate the bodies healing process to jumpstart collagen production.
November: Photorejuvenation
November is a great time to clean up any pigmentation that still remains now that the weather has finally cooled off with an IPL! IPL or Photo Facials are a 30-minute procedure in which intense pulses of light are used to penetrate deep into the skin. IPL photorejuvenation then causes blood vessels below the epidermis to constrict, reducing redness and age lines.
December: Dermaplaning and Oxygenating treatments
December is the perfect time for touchups to get you ready for all the holiday parties and celebrations!
